This is an illustrative multi-region proposal connecting northern, central and southern Vietnam. A 12-day outline is one option to discuss; the final sequence and length depend on your flights, interests and available time.

• Days 1–3: Begin in Hanoi, with time to settle in and explore the city.
• Days 4–5: Visit Ninh Binh and Ha Long Bay for countryside and limestone scenery.
• Days 6–9: Continue to Central Vietnam for Da Nang, Hoi An and Hue.
• Days 10–12: Add Ho Chi Minh City as a southern finish, with the inter-region connection and departure plan confirmed in your proposal.

How the regions fit together

This route is for travellers who want a broad first impression of Vietnam and are comfortable moving between regions. It links northern landscapes and city life with Central Vietnam’s heritage and coast, then turns south for a different urban rhythm. A shorter holiday may feel more rewarding when focused on one region.

• North: Hanoi, Ninh Binh and Ha Long Bay.
• Centre: Hue and Hoi An, with Da Nang considered as a connection or stay.
• South: Ho Chi Minh City, with additional time or places discussed if your dates allow.
